New Release: Titus1 – River of Lies

Titus1 and Meredith Miller come together on “River of Lies,” a deeply melodic new record that sits somewhere between progressive house and melodic techno.

Built around atmosphere, emotion and gradual movement, River of Lies isn’t about rushing toward the drop. It’s a track that develops slowly, pulling you deeper as layers of melody, tension and rhythm begin to take over.

At the centre of the record is Meredith Miller’s vocal, bringing an emotional weight that gives the track its identity. Haunting and expressive, the vocal moves naturally through the production while the instrumental continues to build underneath it.

For Titus1, the goal was to create something cinematic and melodic while still having enough drive to work in a club setting.

The production blends progressive textures, evolving synth work, deep rolling low-end and melodic techno-inspired energy, creating a sound that feels equally suited to a late-night dancefloor or a pair of headphones.

Emotion Meets Energy

There’s a contrast running through River of Lies.

The melodies feel expansive and almost uplifting, while the vocal and darker undertones pull the track somewhere more introspective. That tension between the two became a big part of the final record.

Rather than relying on one huge moment, the track is constantly evolving — introducing new textures, opening up into atmospheric breaks and then gradually rebuilding the energy.

It’s progressive in the true sense of the word.
