Calcium (Adam Cooley) is a Texas-born producer who has quickly taken the electronic music scene by storm. Calcium is constantly pushing the boundaries of music by using his unique sounds of dubstep and riddim. He has received immediate support from the legends of dubstep including Excision, Kayzo, Svdden Death, Subtronics, as well as others. In 2021 Calcium released back-to-back EPs on Never Say Die Records and Disciple. Bouncing off of 2021, 2022 has become a big year for Calcium releasing an EP on Bassrush as well as performing at Beyond Wonderland. With a big festival run this summer as well as confirmed support dates with Excision, Calcium is ready to keep proving to his fans why he is one to keep an eye on.

Adam “Calcium” Cooley is a young producer/DJ from Bay Village, Ohio. He currently lives in Houston, TX. I’ve taken a lot of hours into studying this artist. I sincerely believe that 2019 will be a huge year for Calcium. One big goal is to get Adam at Lost Lands 2019. I remember watching some of his social media around the time that this year’s Lost Lands was. My next post will go more into how Lost Lands was, but Adam was hearing his own music being played on huge festival sound rigs. It was amazing to see the artist get the recognition he deserves.

What I find surprising are Calciums three-year-old tracks. When I find interest in an artist, I will usually go the very beginning of their SoundCloud and start from the first song. It helps me obtain a sense of how/how fast they progressed. I was pretty much blown away with his initial talent.

Coming back to the roots of Adams SoundCloud, I see he’s deleted a lot of his old tracks. One particular song that I was going to share was his Supernatural remix. In the title, one phrase listed:

I was thoroughly shook. Even two years ago, this guy was able to produce songs that stood prominently in terms of loudness, accompanied by original sound design. It’s a caliber that can not go unnoticed. I mean the dude is no more than 22 years old. From fellow producer to another, it’s easy to sense when one another holds an intrinsic talent of producing.
